"Sliding" Player Model

  • Sometimes, if another player has chosen the "shock trooper" as player model, I just see him like slipping on the ground, not walking or running (I mean the legs don't move), and sometimes it has no weapon in its hands.
    It really disturbs me while playing, and not really beautiful in the demos :( ... is it the same for everyone ? or am I alone with this problem ?

  • I know what You mean, I've also seen this. The movement is characteristic for that Model. The weapon is another thing. I have that sight on Nvidia VGAs, but not on the ATI ones.

  • @sliding shock: The animations of that model are a bit weird. The strafing animations are broken, the legs hardly move while strafing, so it looks like the player is sliding on ice...

    @missing weapons: can you somehow reproduce that bug? I have no idea what could cause that... :(

  • I have also seen players without a weapon in thier hands.
    (This bug must not be confused with the minstagib bug that could cause transparent weapons in hands. After somone took invis)

    If you want, I recorded a demo in minstagib. When I watch it in thirdperson mode, sometimes I don't have any weapon in my hands.

    ## edit : oops, didn't read what morfar said before writing :oops: ... I have seen this bug only in minstagib mode, and it seems to be a known bug.

    Yes, that bug is already fixed :)
    It occured when you where killed while being invisible. That caused your 3rd person weapon model to remain transparent.
