That usually means that either you don't have a dualcore CPU or that your driver doesn't support it. Not sure if it works on PPC at all, or if Apple supports it on Intel only.

Edit: http://developer.apple.com/technotes/tn2006/tn2085.html yes, it exists on Intel only.
