I receive this error when I turn the hook on

Folks report that the audio lags when hook is enabled, and I assume the problem is related to this error.

The code looks correct (hook_fire.wav is precached) and i can't reproduce that problem. Are you using any mods or have you installed Nexuiz using a debian/rpm package?

This is stock 2.3, unpacked from the .zip on sourceforge. I have added maps, but that's it.

It's only precached when g_grappling_hook is on before the map is loaded.
