Hello, I would like to know if there is a way to disable pants and shirt colors on your gun. I mean, the grenade luncher and shot gun can look really weird with some colors. And I generally prefer the default colors of the gun, like the rocket launcher, it looks better with yellow bars. Yellow pants, on the other hands, are not really my favorite.

Sorry there is no way. I understand why you think some guns look better with the default colors but its also a nice touch to the game. Red looks good on most guns

Its very useful to see which team you are on. Nexuiz 1.5.1 will even go an step further and keep the colors for dropped weapons (by death or normal drop)

Well, in that case, I could suggest that 1.5.1 make the colors less predominant on the shotgun and on the grenade luncher, they look like plastic water guns...

Nice suggestions but right now that is how nexuiz looks. Actually i think its a realy cool thing. It will give 1on1 even a nice extra touch because the weapon still has your opponents color in the next version. I just have to not get tempted to pick them up just because of that.. (Haha, got you gun, soon i'll get an other frag )
So i do not thing it will be changed..

About the keep colors for dropped weapons thingy, will the colors remain even after an other player has picked up the gun ?

No, all 'your' guns have 'your' colors..

I like the colors, but I do agree that they should be toned down on the shotgun/grenade launcher. Right now changing your shirt/pants color almost always makes the shotgun look awful.

The other weapons, however, look great with different colors. I especially like the Hagar, because there's one stripe that changes and it looks cool.

I would really like to see shirt and crosshair color separated, though.

Everyone running around in yellow makes it feel like you are playing at a construction site.

It seems like the next version will get this feature. LordHavoc has some ideas and it should be quite simple But i really like the red crosshair more, i have less problems with that color then every other color. Quite nice as i also think the carni looks best in red
