That does happen if the engine can't find the data files. Did you extract the zip file 'with folders'? You should have Nexuiz/ , Nexuiz/data/ , Nexuiz/Docs , Nexuiz/Nexuiz-SDL.app and Nexuiz/navnodeedit. As on Mac the Nexuiz-SDL.app folder is used to start the engine it should 'just work' if all data files are ok and if you did extract it the right way.

looks fine now. I just ried again and it worked. I had been trying to run it off a flash drive. I put it on HD and it works...
