when i get into the menu, im confronted with LOTS of audio/visual lag - the framerate or something is fucked up...im on vista, but can play HALO 2 and SHADOWRUN, which are more demanding than nexuiz...any suggestions on what i can do? thanks guys

What about in game? Is it OK? First thing I'd blame (cause of problems for many Vista users) is the graphics drivers that come with Vista. They don't do OpenGL. If you are running them, get some proper drivers from your card manufacturer.

my specs are fine - this thing is basically brand new -
can i just dl openGL or do i have to specifically go through the card manufacturer? thanks again

ok, vista says my drivers are up to date - (radeon x1300 series) and....

Windows Vista fully supports hardware accelerated OpenGL;

any other suggestions?

nevermind man, i got it worked out
vista DID say that my drivers were up to date, obviously it was wrong though
i just dled them and nexuiz works fine - thanks for the help though
