  • Hi,

ich have bought my new Notebook, but as i see Nexuiz do not really work.

When i start the Game, the sound starts very bumpy. Then my mouse works like with 2 Frames per second.

    I don't know, but i can't play with 5fps or something.

My Notebook is pretty good and works with Vista.
    Details:

    Core 2 Duo T7250 2x 2.00GHz
    2048MB (2x 1024MB)
NVidia GeForce 8400M GT 256MB max.1024MB shared memory
    Windows Vista Home Premium

I think i have all updates i can have, soooo do you know any way to improve it?

EDIT: I think that i have the newest drivers! I even think i know it ;)

  • I have heard about your problem. It has something to do with vista. It doesn't have what nexuiz needs to play... I something like that :?

  • Install the proper graphics drivers from NVIDIA. Vista's included drivers are broken.

i did this. I searched for a driver but didn't found one at nvidia.com. You can try to find it. I think you won't. Nvidia 8400m gt is not available at nvidia and sony

Nothing to ouch about. This card should have enough power to get along with Nexuiz pretty well.

Could you maybe tell us the exact Model number of your Sony laptop?

  • You shouldn't just get stuck with the video drivers. Maybe something else is the source for your problems. First, try to start the game, open the console (SHIFT+ESC), type showfps 1, enter that and then close the console again (ESC).

Now you see how many fps you actually get. If it's less than 15 you really have an issue with your graphics adapter. Please tell us what happened.

Oh ah and have you tried the driver Willis posted? He's my VGA godfather, you know :)

  • I have a GeForce 7200 Go 256MB and I can run pretty decent settings at 60-70fps with dips down to 35ish. The 8400 should run awesomely.

I use NBF drivers: http://www.notebookforums.com/forum304.html so that I can overclock with nTune. I've had to try out many different versions to find one that doesn't stutter/lag or crash.
