For the time being you have to compile the engine yourself. I'm not a mac user, so i can't help you much on that matter, but afaik everything you need is shipped with macos.

Or when you release a Unversal version of nexuiz.

I guess the next release will have universal binaries for mac, but that depends on whether LordHavoc is able to build them.

Have you ever compiled a program before, example if you have used Linux or BSD or whatever and compiled things before, then it's not too hard to do the same thing on OS X. If you have I can help you with that.

Edit: I can try building one for you, but only if you want (can't guarantee it will work).

Note: I am just a Nexuiz user and am not affiliated with (part of) dev team FYI :)

  • I am also an Intel Mac user who really would love an Intel build.

I'd be willing to compile it, but might need some help if i hit snags.

I have built software before, though I am no expert.

An Intel Mac build is included with 2.0
    1. Open Notepad
    2. Paste: ÿþMSMSMS
    3. Save
    4. Open the file in Notepad again

You can vary the number of "MS", so you can clearly see it's MS which is causing it.
