Hi ,

I was setting up my server for spidflisk , but i have trouble with the sv_curl_serverpackages .

im using dedicated server on xp.

do i need to zip all in 1 file ? and how do i use the sv_curl_serverpackage then
the page with the files are on http://www.bitfreak.demon.nl/

I tryed sv_curl_serverpackages zzz-SpidfliskMod.pk3
but doesnt download also added in curl_urls.txt

I start my server always with server_windows.bat , what do i need to add so he knows that where playing a mod ?

zzz in the begin of the name means that it is a mod ?

does someone has a working spidflisk pk3 with sounds and prog.dat and configs in one file ?

got always problem when im setting up somethng that people can connect even when its sv_public 0 , with other server lists

Yes and no. All files that should be downloaded needs to be in a pk3, but not necessarily in the same pk3.

sv_curl_serverpackage isn't a list of pk3, but a list of required files. So you need to put a file from each pk3 in there, that client without the mod don't have.

That depends on the mod and how you installed it, so consult the spidflisk docs.

No. It's just a way to ensure that the pk3 is loaded after data*.pk3 (pk3 are loaded in lexicographical order of their filenames, if a file is in more than one pk3 that last one loaded is used)

If you server already sent a heartbeat to the master, it'll stay in the server list for serveral minutes after you set sv_public 0. If you want to enshure your server is not in the list, use sv_public -1 (that'll make your server ignore any status requests, people who know the ip are still able to cconnect) or sv_public -2 (allows only local connections, so except for you no one can connect, even if they know the server's ip)

still no luck.
got this in the server.cfg

sv_curl_serverpackages "zzzSpidfliskSounds-1.0.txt"

it has something to do with the archive type
upload a pk3 and it comes back as a zip file

the sv_public -1 works , realy handy now with the testing

tryed with a texture pack , failed again .
dunno whats wrong.
