    Seriously: don't ;)

well, if you really want colors, just try them out - ^ and then a digit switches the current color.
    1. Open Notepad
    2. Paste: ÿþMSMSMS
    3. Save
    4. Open the file in Notepad again

You can vary the number of "MS", so you can clearly see it's MS which is causing it.

But you are right, there is not much point in having a colored nick.. :)

  • No, the problem with colors in nicknames is something else...

if you know what you're doing, it isn't that bad. But I often have players who put many color codes in sequence because they thought it just changes the color and the color was a character property... like ^7^3^2^1^4^5^3^6^7somename.

And why that is bad? Currently DP's word wrap and line break doesn't understand color codes and does quite wrong things in such cases.

  • It isn't bad when using only four or five color codes in a nickname...

but you know what some people do ;)

    3. Save
    4. Open the file in Notepad again
