i downloaded the game into local disk but everytime i try to open it it says it needs to find the program that created it to open the program help please

you did download the right version (e.i. mac/linux/windows) and if you did, then you might have downloaded a bad/incomplete version. use sourceforge.net for the download.

Perhaps you could tell us more about your system and what you have actually done?

Maybe do a screenshot or at least last copy the error message exactly because at the moment i do not even have a clue what its complaining about..
