  • Hello!

It seems to me that everything I see in nexuiz is stretched a little in vertical direction. Most noticable is that the crosshair, whichever I use, is longer in its height than in its width.

I am using a 19 inch display, NOT wide screen, resolution: 1280x1024

I thought that maybe my settings are messed up, so I built the game from scratch, downloaded it anew and so on. But it's still the same. For example the crosshairs that have circles in them are elliptical. :?

Is this normal or is there a solution to my problem?

    My hardware:
    Pentium 4, 3GHz
    Ati 9800 pro
    512 MB Ram

Thanks a lot for your help! :D

In case that's a crt screen, try using 1280x960 instead.

  • I have a TFT screen. The crosshair is almost perfect at 1280x900. Maybe it would be possible to have settings for horizontal fov and vertical fov in a future release? Dear developers? :D Or maybe the option to paint the crosshair in the middle without any effect of the vertical/horizontal ratio? So that is stays perfectly round in any situation.

We DO have an option to play with horizonal/vertical fov, adjust vid_pixelheight. I use that to make 1024x768 look really good on a widescreen monitor (1680x1050), since for some reason my system cant do 75Hz @ native res.

  • What are the physical dimensions of your screens viewable area? It should have an aspect ratio of 5:4.
