Hi guys,

I downloaded Nexuiz this past weekend and I can't have enough of it. Love it.. .love it...love it.

This may sounds silly even stupid, but could not find anywhere in the game to make the game playable only using the keyboard. With the default setting I had use the mouse to look around and use the arrow key for moving back + forward + side to side.

How can I use the keybaord to look around as I do not want to use the mouse.

Either edit your config.cfg or enter those lines into the console (iopen with shift-escape when menu is visible or ` when ingame, close it again with escape)
bind a +left
bind d +right
(assuming you want to use a to turn left and d to turn right
oh and i guess you want to look up/down:
bind q +lookdown
bind e +lookup

dude.. its good to be oldschool.. I am oldschool.. but serioulsy: learn to use the mouse.. You keep your oldschool rep intact if you use it reverse.. dont worry

that's correct..

i played wolf3d, doom, quake1, dukenukem3d without mouse and it was fun.

but with mouse it was even more fun!

it's just more spontanous.
easier, faster moves.. more sight..


theoretically you do have the same degree/amount of freedom, but with mouse you can move within this degrees of freedom more rapidly.

Of cource you should play as you like but the others are right. Using the mouse is just much fast, precise and easier (well if you are used to it ). I can't imagine to use only the keyboard..

Well, I can't even remember playing without a mouse (even though I did)

It seems I need get out of my corner and face the music and adapt to the mouse....... ......hmmmmmmmmm for now I'll stick with the keybaord.
