New maps not showing on server

  • Hello,

    I added new maps from the mappack and from Nexuiz Ninja's to my /data directory and they are not showing up in the game. Went to the server console and typed:

    Code: Select all
    fs_rescan
    maps


    Server said it imported the new maps. Then on the client when I type maps I don't see it. At the end of a match I don't see the new maps from Nex Ninjia's either way..

    Any ideas?

  • The extra maps are loaded just fine (see the lines saying: Added packfile)
    But a server will only cycle those maps that are listed in the variable g_maplist. That way you can put in all maps but only play those you like or like if you have two servers they do not need to play all the same maps.
    I really had hope this part was rather clear in Nexuiz/Docs/server ?!?

  • Very little is clear in the documentation. It doesn't say anything about adding maps and having them seen in the server.

    I have it set to " " because when I hard code it the maps where not available from the console.
