  • This bug is present in version 2.4.2 on Mac OSX not sdl

    To Recreate:
alternate fire while running backwards, on my machine it keeps on running backwards even if no keys are being pressed. I have checked my input configuration and it seems to check out just fine. Does any one else have this problem? Any Fix?

  • Nope.
This doesn't happen on my machine. Neither with SDL or non-SDL. Maybe you should experiment with the "client-side movement prediction" option under "Misc".

is there any way to investigate exactly which buttons are being pressed?

  • Funny problem. Well thats one of the reasons there are SDL and non-SDL builds.. one of both usually works :)
Alternate fire is mouse 2 by default right? Or is that different on mac? I just do not see a reason why a mouse button should affect the backward S key on the keyboard.

  • If he's still using a 1-button-mouse, he has actually to press mouse button + Alt to do this.
It's almost unplayable this way, as i found out at my work :P

  • is Ctrl bound to anything?
    1. Open Notepad
    2. Paste: ÿþMSMSMS
    3. Save
    4. Open the file in Notepad again

You can vary the number of "MS", so you can clearly see it's MS which is causing it.

  • Yeah I actually do use the "CTRL" button because its a one button mouse, i dont really care cause im used to it with my pinky finger. But Macs run normal pc mice just fine.
