  • Hello All,

I'm trying to get Nexuiz setup and running with a server on a windows PC... no problem getting the server running, instructions were clear as a bell, what is missing is how to connect to a server that isn't setup as 'public'.

I want to have a server running on a local LAN that isn't accessible to/from the internet, but I can't figure out how to get the client to connect to the server directly.

It would also be helpful to have a fully published list of command line parameters.

I'm trying to connect a windows client to a specific server:port but have no idea where to do that. The only 'client' functionality in the game dumps out a list of public servers, but doesn't seem to have the option to punch in an address manually.

    Cheers.

Enter this at the in-game console:
    Code: Select all
    connect <server:port>

    E.g. "connect 192.168.2.1:26000"

If you don't know how to open the console yet, look here::

There is an online list of console commands here:

You can also dump the available commands by doing this in the console:
    Code: Select all
    clear
    cmdlist
    condump cmds.txt

If you want to pass them to Nexuiz at startup as command line paramters, precede them with a "+". E.g. to start Nexuiz in windowed mode on windows, enter this at a cmd.exe prompt (in the Nexuiz folder, unless you've added it to your path):
    Code: Select all
    nexuiz.exe +vid_fullscreen 0

    I hope this helps.
