  • After downloading 2.4.2 and fixing the problem with the choppy gameplay, I am now experiencing game crashes about 5 seconds after I get fragged, every single time and I get the "nexuiz has experienced a problem and needs to close" popup. Does anyone know a fix for this?

I have the latest driver update for my videocard and have tried every compatability mode for both Nexuiz.exe and Nexuiz-sdl.exe

  • hmm...might want to check the md5sum on the nexuiz download.

    For 2.4.2 full download....

On vista, you can use this program.
    http://www.diamondcs.com.au/downloads/f ... es/md5.zip

Open up your copy of the Nexuiz2.4.2 zip (hopefully you still have it) and generate the md5sum and compare it to the above one.

  • I had deleted my .zip file, but I retrieved it from the recycle bin, dunno if that will change anything. After running the MD5 program on the .zip, It gave me the following:

    739A6CCD914655BBB98DEC15D225F3FA

Which quite obviously does not match.

Would you recoomend re-downloading the .zip file?

  • ok I redownloaded the file from the link on this website to the sourseforge mirrior and ran that md5 thingie again

It gave me the same md5 code (739A6CCD914655BBB98DEC15D225F3FA) for the file: "nexuiz-242.zip" :(

are you sure you got the original code right? If so, where would you reccomend I download from?

... also, dunno if it's helpful at all, but it may be good to note that the game crashes about 5s after someone else gets fragged. In addition, if I "explore" the map before "pressing jump" the game will crash, as well as a few random times that I have not been able to link to any significant action.

  • sorry that was a typo. I meant that I got the above code for the .zip file, not .exe
The link you gave me gives me the same "wrong" md5

  • I can confirm Dokujisan's MD5 sum.

    2 possibilites:
    1) you use a wrong MD5summer
    2) haXx0red -> format C:\ (joke)

  • Thanks Dikujisan, it would appear that the first mdk summer was malfunctioning, the last one you sent me gave me the code: 2ea51368774ca603fd56faebfeac74d7 which appears to be corect.

Unfortunately after fiddling with the program on my own for bit all I managed to do was make the crashes more severe and much of the time I can't even get into the program.

I last updated the driver for my Mobility Radeon x1300 graphics card using vista's automatic driver update feature after finding it difficult to locate the driver I needed. Perhaps this has something to do with it? If so, would you be able to find me the correct driver?
