Hey everyone,

I setup server.log in my config so I could see rcon logging but it doesn't seem to be working. I touched the server.log file in /nexuiz and even though I have been playing all day with rcon its show as empty...

More info is needed.

What OS are you running?
where is the server.log file? (provide a FULL path)

You need to use the following command (in the console or directly in your server.cfg) :
log_file myserver.log

to add the date :
timestamps 1

now with your shell :

^7[2008-03-04 22:13:21] server received rcon command from <ip or player name>: status; kick # 7 AHAHAHAHAHAHAH));

Thanks for your responses. I am on Debian 4 patched as of today, Nexuiz 2.4.2. and I have enabled logging in my server.cfg as below.

log_file server.log

I created an empty server.log file in ~/Nexuiz and restarted the server. No matter what I do there is no output being written to this file... Any ideas?

you don't need to create an empty server.log, nexuiz will do it for you.
And the log file location is ~/.nexuiz/data
