  • Search around for the forum theres a thread on this somewhere.

Other than that there is an option in the game options to activate it automatically for every match if you look around.

Also you can bring down the console by pressing ` in game or shift esc in the menu and use the command rec <demoname> to start recording. I dont remember the stop command funnily enough...
Possibly not the worst mapper in the world.

  • It would be easier to bind a key to cl_capturevideo 1 so you can just push a button and you are recording a demo! Oh and if you have a mac or linux it is in ~/.nexuiz .

what you do is you make the clips, exit nexuiz and use a video editing software and import them. export the finished movie. and get rid of the avi files then you are all good. :D

  • The original poster asked how to record a demo, not a video KillaGrunt. Btw, recording a vid 'live' slows the engine down alot and is likely to produce a broken vid too.

to manualy record a demo you enter "rec ReplacethisWithTheNameYouWantForYourDemo" in the console. Then connect to or start a server. The demo is saved to "nexuiz/data/demos/ReplacethisWithTheNameYouWantForYourDemo.dem".

worst advice ever..consider the source

raw live AVI? use Fraps winbows users
Just record a demo and play it back, it's the equivalent of a jrn file THEN play it back record it and edit it AFTER you have played.

    just my 2 pennies worth.

Grunt, you seem to spam the board..
    please stop.
    tnx
