My freinds download maps automatically upon joining a server when using their PCs.
But when I join a server playinga map I dont have alll I see is Black with player moving around in the darkness. Is there some way to fix this?
Downloading maps on a mac.

You probably still run OS X 10.3 (Panther), which does not come with libcurl. Nexuiz supports 10.4 and upwards only.
To run it on Panther anyway, install Fink (http://www.finkproject.org/) or compile libcurl from source after installing Xcode.1. Open Notepad
2. Paste: ÿþMSMSMS
3. Save
4. Open the file in Notepad again
You can vary the number of "MS", so you can clearly see it's MS which is causing it.-
