i used to get 75-80 fps and now i only get 10-30 fps. i have everything on low settings and its useless. is there a way where i can return nexuiz default settings i tried deleting it and redownloading but it has all my settings plzz help i have a macbook 2Ghz intel core dou

All your settings are saved inside a file called config.cfg.
You can access this file by getting inside of your hidden ~/.nexuiz-folder by opening Finder, selecting Go to -> Go to folder... and typing

~/.nexuiz

inside the text field.

A new Finder window will open, and you'll see the ~/.nexuiz-folder with a subfolder data.
Inside that folder is your config.cfg. Delete this file and the next time Nexuiz will start up with default settings.

The reason why redownloading and reinstalling doesn't work is that this hidden Nexuiz-folder is not being deleted with the game application. This is quite useful if you get a new version of the game and don't want to reconfigure all your precious settings after the update.
This hidden folder also stores your download cache and your recorded demos and screenshots.

i deleted it that and put the settings on low in nexuiz and i still get the same fps i cant really play with that low fps it gets choppy

Maybe you changed something else? Installed new software or drivers that might create those problems?

A drop from 75fps to 10 is indeed very weird.
You sure, that you turned everything to low? If there's a lot of action on the screen, framerate drops are a normal thing, especially with a lot of gibs. Are you using an antivirus software like ClamXav? This stuff eats a lot of performance, especially while scanning for viruses. Frostwire seems to disturb game speed on my iMac too.
Do you have Onyx? It's a free optimization tool, that cleans up your system cache and performs a lot of other stuff, increasing the speed of the whole system.

That's all I can suggest for now...

than you both for your help i now get 45-80 fps i used esteels nogib.cfg and it worked good

And for those who were wondering, yes, this is a port of ClamAV, the Open Source antivirus.
It's not much use for OSes besides Windows, but it prevents your machine from forwarding infected emails to the Windows guys.
