  • Where have you downloaded it from?
    Which os do you use?
    How do you extract it?

It should like nexuiz(.exe/.sh) and data folder at the same level. dataDATE.pk3 inside data folder.

  • Yup, I have the exact same problem on my Fedora computer.
I downloaded it from the Nexuiz site, unpacked and ran the game. There is a data folder and inside it the whole game content is located (data20080511.pk3).

I think someone told me the solution however, I forgot it :P.

    Anyway, specs of the computer:
    Fedora 9
GeForce 4 Ti 4800 (or something, at least it's GeForce 4 Ti).

The drivers are NOT the latest, I don't even know if I have any installed. I never got around to do that :p I will as soon as the update finishes.

Just giving some info of this, I'll be switching to Ubuntu soon enough.

EDIT: Oh by the way, adding -basedir path-to-game did not work.

May I suggest LinuxMint instead? It's an Ubuntu fork, thus compatible to its packages/repositories/whatever, but seems to be a little more polished than its big brother.

  • OS - operating system, probably windows based on your explanation.
Create a shortcut to nexuiz.exe, then properties and in target field add -basedir C:\Nexuiz, where C:\Nexuiz is the place where you've extracted Nexuiz.

Target field should look similar to this:
    Code: Select all
    nexuiz.exe -basedir C:\Nexuiz

Check that the data folder is named correctly as data too. As well, that you've downloaded full version and not a patch.
