Hello all out there!

Running Linux, I always get a screenful of "3D re-sampling not supported"
error messages and the glas stays black on 800x600 mode.

3D accel is turned on and openGL is running, so what?

Hardware is ATI Radeon VE (Radeon 7000 Chip) on a AMD 1.6GHz mashine.

Are you sure about that? I've only seen that error when OpenGL hardware acceleration wasn't enabled correctly. Does

I'm not sure if that card is fast enough for Nexuiz. According to gpureview.com it's only half as fast as a GeForce 2 MX. But it definitely should give that error...

I always thought that the Radeon 7000 chip may be to slow. Not realy a problem as I run 'Cube' as alternative, until I have the money for a newer VCard.

That seems like you have the free and opensource dri drivers for ati cards installed. You could try if the official closed source ati drivers are faster..
Every major distribution should have them available in some form. (Though the free ones should be good for you card. When i still had my ati9800 they keept crashing for me about 30 seconds into a game..)

I don't think they support the Radeon 7000 series.

Yes, I didn't knew about other drivers as the opensource ones.

For SUSE distri I will search for others or has someone a better idea to looking for?

My videocard is definitely too slow for Nexuiz. 30 minutes ago I had a power loss shutdown, (because of a over heatet video chip?) while playing ;cube'.

Ok, a new graphics card is shiftet up to position one on my wish list!

As you're a Linux user, go for an nVIDIA card. ATi's Linux drivers are roughly as pleasant as stepping on a landmine.

Yes nvidia drivers are much better then ati when running linux, i got myself a nvidia card because of this.
But in case you might want to try the ati driver try to search for 'suse fglrx' on google.. I use debian so i can't help with suse

I found, there's no chance to running my old ATI card: it runs Nexuiz v1.1 but very very very slow!

So I will go for a NVidia card...
