  • if you have downloaded it from nexuiz.com it should be 2.4.2 (correct me if i'm wrong)

press the "Apply immediately" button at the bottom after you changed the settings and try again

  • Apparently the game crashes on exit. Might be fixed in latest svn.

    Anyway, try this:

    Open the console
    and type "saveconfig"

That should save your current config reliably.
    1. Open Notepad
    2. Paste: ÿþMSMSMS
    3. Save
    4. Open the file in Notepad again

You can vary the number of "MS", so you can clearly see it's MS which is causing it.

  • Do this on a Terminal.app to repair it:

    sudo chown -R yourusername ~/.nexuiz
    chmod a=rX,u+w ~/.nexuiz

    Then try again.
    1. Open Notepad
    2. Paste: ÿþMSMSMS
    3. Save
    4. Open the file in Notepad again

i typed 'saveconfig' in console, just for being sure.

do i need to open Terminal to play Nexuiz, or can i just play without it?

  • You can play without it, the issue was the permissions of the home directory and you fixed it now.

    Have fun!
    1. Open Notepad
    2. Paste: ÿþMSMSMS
    3. Save
    4. Open the file in Notepad again
