I tried it about 5 or 6 times to download nexuiz 2.5 from sourceforge with different mirrors and the downloads were corrupted ( just using the latest firefox to download).
The new weapons are looking nice as i have seen in one of the help files in one of the corrupted downloads but could someone please upload it to filefront?
Never experienced problems like these there.
Ok maybe it worked with the second download there.
It's not my connection to the internet as other downloads work well.

I never used torrent before and don't see any need to use it if the .zip from sourceforge is recommended btw.

http/ftp download can fail. torrent download checks the integrity of evey smal part of a large file multiple times (EXACTLY your problem) and thus you get guaranteed result

sourceforge worked fine for me.. maybe try to use a download manager or a download program like wget or curl, those can restart a download when it was interrupted.. This seems like the most likey cause of your problems.

nexuiz 2.5 is awesome!
One question though: The nexuiz 35 map pack (nexmappack_r2) is the same as for the previous version of nexuiz? I am asking because i already downloaded it for nexuiz 2.42.
The files go into data but i don't get the use somehow because there i a singleplayer compain in nexuiz 2.5 already if i am not mistaken. I played a bit against bots...
Maybe i am confusing things.

and whenever you connect to a multiplayer server that plays a map that you dont have, you will automatically download it, so do not worry.

Yes that file is the same as before.
You can choose from several campaigns now. There are the << and >> buttons in the singleplayer screen. 2.5 ships with two compaigns (the new for 2.5 and the old one.. ) and the mappack should add an other one.
