I've installed Nexuiz today (ubuntu 8.10). Looks good, nice music,...
Just a "small" problem : I don't seen any other players or weapons, only the bullets coming from everywhere, explosions around me... and usually me dead 15 sec later

I've tried both single player campain (2 and 2.5) and the multiplayer game.
Same result...

As you are running the most problaby reason is that you do not have installed 'real' 3d drivers. Please try this in the console:

glxinfo | grep -i 'string\|direct'

It HAS TO display: Direct rendering: YES
If it does not then you indeed do not have 'real' gfx drivers installed.
In either case, please tell us more about your system. What graphic card to you have?

I'd made an update of my nvidia driver and had to restart now it's ok

and i cant see anything except the map and me dying from the array of bullets

It would be nice to have a better description of your problem. But in the meantime check your network connection, with high network latency things get a little crazy on the screen, maybe you left some p2p application opened while playing. Please double check your graphics setting on the Options->Effects menu, maybe you are playing with higher effects than the allowed by your video card.
Anyway I'm just guessing, if none of these suggestion works please come back with more details.

On a related note, it also happened to me, twice. Invisible guy jumped out of nowhere and shot rockets at me. If it happens again, I'll upload a demo.

Hey a friend of me just had same problem again and did the code that esteel gave but they said unknown command glxinfo

glxinfo is a linux command.. your friend is on windows
