Hi ,
Since about a week, i stoped playing nexuiz in fullscreen to be able to toggle out of it rapidly.

Im now having a very weird thing happening in windowed mode. When i type stuff in the console, some letters delete everything i had type previously.

example: i want to type

Code: Select all

vcall restart

so i type "v" than "c" than "a" than "l" but as soon as i type the "l" it delete the "vca" i had already typed in.

any one have an idea what can cause that ? I have asked to a couple of person in games that plays with the same conditions than me. i.e. linux, no compiz, windowed mode. and they never have seen what im talking about.

its so annoying D: i need to ask others by chat to vcall for what i would like to vcall.

ive noticed that the letters that do it are "L" and "N". i have show chat history bound to L and a name change bound to N. But since the console is showing, it should not do anything other than typing the letter. am i right ? at least thats how it goes when i play in fullscreen.

oh yeah , i forgot to say i use nexuiz v2.5 downloaded from the nexuiz site.

I've had this happen as well. The simplest solution I've found unfortunately, is to restart Nexuiz.

Just hit the Ctrl and Alt keys once when this happens. This is because DP thinks one of these modifier keys is still pressed, because it was not released while DP was active.

neither restart nor ctrl/alt thing really helped me... still can't input >1 character in, for example, server name filter. I've probably screwed my config files...
