When I play Nexuiz 2.5 under Ubuntu 9.04, everyone's models are the same (Mulder, I think) model and tag colors are orange. I am using Nvidia binary driver version 180.44.

Wait - I think I figured it out. the server I was playing on was running 2.5svn (beta). Tried another one and things were fine.

Servers can make everyone look like Mulder and change the skin to red, green or orange.
They are called brightskins, and is used on ladder servers, and some public games.

So it's no bug

2.5svn does not mean beta. It is a development version AFTER 2.5.

You were probably playing on my server, since I think I'm the only one that puts that in the server title. Was it the HODM server?

I have it set to use brightskins (yellow) and so that it evens the playing field and you can see everybody. Otherwise, the player skins are too dark and they tend to blend in with the background. It is a pain in the ass to play like that because it's tough to see the players.

Oh. Cool. It's funny, When I first noticed this "issue" I played for awhile thinking "Hey, this makes things easier -- it must be a bug!"

Actually i put $g_nexuizversion into my hostname (and the example in Nexuiz/server/server.cfg ) so a few of my servers also show 2.5svn..
