I need the lava texture to load, it never does. Can somebody tell me how to fix it please?

The lava texture in final rage works, the lava in Dibrun works, but other lava textures don't in any map.

texture/liquids/protolava2.tga is the only offending texture to my current knowledge, it doesn't load.

i guess there is a broken file somewhere

Can you try e.g. On greatwall? If that lava also does not load, remove all pk3s you installed and try again. Some maps repacked by unknown cause that.

I removed all of the spare map pk3's; now the lava texture works as expected.

Lol. I knew this will happen. I had told unknown aka alphagod about this issue, but he was too lazy to fix it. For the time being, I recommend not playing or hosting his map ports until someone with a clue and the time for it fixes them, as they DO interfere with Nexuiz.

The cause is that he made a shader pack that redefines the lava shader, and included it with all his map ports - even with the ones that do not have lava, and thus not the texture for lava.

Actually he re-did all of the textures to make them GPL there's a new .pk3 on his webspace, and I think that he may of re-did the shaders, I will need to ask him.
