  • Hello, I´ve got a problem with my mouse in Nexuiz 2.0. Ingame the mouse jumps around. After I have joined a match it also jumps in the menu. My system:
    3Ghz P4 HT
    1,024 Mb Ram
    Nvidia 7800 GS extreme
    Razor Copperhead
    system: Gentoo Linux, kernel 2.6.16-r1

Is there any possibility to get this Problem fixed ?
(And sry for my bad english ^^)

    Greetings

  • I tried both but the bug is in both -glx and -sdl.
As I sayed the mouse jumps around ... I move my mouse then a few seconds everything is right and then it jumps. ...
Is there any other possibility that can fix the bug ?
    All older versions work fine.

  • Not much ... I try to change the mouse config ... and I tried the mouse on the
PS2 Port. But it doesn't help
And the thing that doesn't work is the mouse. As I Said it jumps around when i move it. a few seconds everything is ok then the aimcross jumps. .,... then i can aim a few seconds normaly then it jumps again ... and this repeats

  • The only thing that comes to mind right is gl_finish 1. Meaning open the console with shift-escape and entering that text in the console. the same with 0 instead of 1 should set it back to default in case it does not help.

Then again: Do you have graphic drivers installed? Not all linux distributions include/install them by default. Can you run other games or older versions fine? Do you get reasonable FPS? (showfps 1 in the console or enable it in the Options/players menu i guess)

  • Perfect. With gl_finish 1 in -sdl it works without problems. Thank You.

  • From the docu :
... gl_finish 1 ... (makes cpu wait for gpu before ending frame, which gives lousy input drivers a chance to catch up)
So something seems to be a bit fishy about your system.. no idea though what it could be, just in case you want to invest more time into finding out what it is..

  • I think that the problem is that my GPU : nVidia 7800 GS-Extreme AGP is not very well suportet by the driver. With the last driver from nVidia the card wasn't able to show the desktop without failures. The latest driver works better ... but still have some problems with for example Savage. I hope that the next driver work better. But do you think that the problem is deeper in the system ?

  • Well i'm not sure what is wrong.. From the docu text i would have expected some problems with you input (mouse) drivers but your idea with the graphic drivers are also very plausible! But its working now so i hope it does not bother you any further :)
