  • This is very few information you provide.

    Please submit more information.
    PC:
CPU, RAM, GPU, OS, and so on.

Additionally you can activate the FPS counter ingame. You find it in the "EFFECTS" section of the options menu.

I personally suggest you set the effects too high.

  • Well thats indeed not the best suited hardware for a fast 3d game especialy more memory would be good.
What you can try is to start Nexuiz, open the in-game console by pressing shift-escape and entering: exec low.cfg;vid_restart that should disable most effects, turn memory usage down and hopefully make your situation better. The default settings of Nexuiz are for sure too much for your hardware. Though i'm not sure how much it will help..
You can display the FPS (frames per second) by entering showfps 1 in the console. Values below 40 are bad for general playing.
Could you do (again in the console) tdem demo1 and report the min/avg/max fps that are displayed after the demo has played?

Strange, even on my Geforce 2 MX it performs better at lowest settings. But this might be due to this old thing not supporting anything of these advanced features.
    1. Open Notepad
    2. Paste: ÿþMSMSMS
    3. Save
    4. Open the file in Notepad again

You can vary the number of "MS", so you can clearly see it's MS which is causing it.

Well, even Win XP doesnt run too well with only 128 MB, and no matter how mighty Your VGA or CPU are, 256MB of RAM is the least You need to have built in.

Oops, I missed that. I'd say the minimum is 512MB RAM. Using CheapAlert's TinyNexuiz, 256MB or maybe 192MB should be possible. 128MB? Forget it.

  • Some more info would be needed to say anything here.

Main things thats good to know:
Operativ system, CPU, Chipset, GPU, Memory (type, not just size), Driver versions.

Does other OpenGL Games work well?
Do you run a multiscreen setup?
    HOF:
<Diablo> the nex is a "game modification"
<Diablo> quake1 never had a weapon like that.
<Vordreller> there was no need for anything over 4GB untill Vista came along
    <Samua>]Idea: Fix it? :D
<Samua>Lies, that only applies to other people.
