  • I get this problem where my player kind of 'stutters' every time it touches the ground while bunny hopping. And actually i just noticed that it appears that other players are doing it too.
    Does anybody else get this?
I was told that it has something to do with having 'too high fps'.
I'll try to make a clip of it.
It makes it very hard to build speed, and is pretty much ruining my appreciation of the game of Nexuiz.
I'm sure the solution is to reduce my fps or use vsync... but i like playing with a high fps. :/
There seem to be some maps that don't suffer from this problem, but i'm not sure.

  • I can confirm this happens to me as well. and yes it seems to be related to high fps, because when I play the game cranked to where I'm getting less than 60 fps constantly. It seems to happen less.

This Version (2.5.2) is great otherwise. hope this can be sorted sometime soon. :)

p.s. it doesn't happen at all in Havoc Mode.

  • I kind of recall it might have coincided with the change that enabled repeated jumping through holding the space bar.

  • Does it still happen in 2.5.2 *on 2.5.2 servers*?

If it no longer happens in havoc mode, this is because of the higher ticrate which will become default in Nexuiz 2.6.
    1. Open Notepad
    2. Paste: ÿþMSMSMS
    3. Save
    4. Open the file in Notepad again

You can vary the number of "MS", so you can clearly see it's MS which is causing it.
