  • Hi!

Usually play Nexuiz under Linux, but were using a Windows machine and felt like playing a little... however:

I cant find any server or join them. All I get is a socket error:
(anyone know how you get a logfile or something like that under these OSs?)

    Code: Select all
    Client using port 26006
Client opened a socket on address local:2
Client opened a socket on address 0.0.0.0:26006
    LHNET_OpenSocket_Connectionless: socket returned error: WSAEAFNOSUPPORT
Client failed to open a socket on address [0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0]:26006

Doesnt matter wheter I run Nexuiz as user or admin...

    Windows firewall has exceptions for
    <Path>/nexuiz.exe
    port 26000 UDP
    port 26006 UDP

I need to bind Nexuiz to port 26006 so my route can do the magic NAT stuff...

Any ideas? I know I played Nexuiz on Windows before... no idea what happened.

EDIT: The only thing that could have changed is the Nexuiz version. Im not really sure, but could be its the first time I tried 2.5.2 under Win XP x64...

  • Try disabling IPv6 under the network properties

  • That network connection did not have "Microsoft TCP/IP version 6" installed.

When I add that protocol, I dont get that error message any more... really funny as I dont have any IP6 capable routers around here. (Anyone got a spare one ;) ?)
