Hi, every time I start Nexuiz, the menu lags and I can't play the demos, or the campaign mode, the ping on servers is too high, so I haven't tried online play yet. I've been browsing the internet, and one thing that keeps coming up is that a certain driver is needed for Nexuiz to work. Either Nvidia or ATI?
Any suggestions? Thanks.

You need to find out what exact video card is in your system, then go to the appropriate companies site (e.g. Intel, ATI etc.) and find where they have drivers, and find the most up to date driver for your system

In windows you can find out video card details by going clicking on "advanced" in settings tab of the display properties dialog box. On linux...not sure. Mac...not sure.

There is no "one" driver that fixes problems. Drivers are made for a specific card (or a small group of very similar cards).

I'd recommend to install the latest video drivers anyway - if you can't play 2.5.2 because you don't have a recent video driver then you most probably won't have much fun playing 2.5.1 as well. If you want people to help you with your problem, please post hardware specifications or, if applicable, your computer's article number. Since Nexuiz runs on Windows, Linux and Mac OS, it also helps to post which Operating System you are using.

I have installed my latest drivers, I only need to tinker with the settings to get the frame rate I want, the game is too jerky, and the mouse lags in-game.

Well it would still be good to know your specs.. graphic card model, graphic ram, system, cpu, speed, ram.. Nexuiz should run quite ok on every gaming machine less then 2 Years old.. and even some older ones.

Well, I'm using Eeebuntu on my EeePc 701 4G (4 Gig HD space) I have an Intel Celeron M Processor, 900 Mhz. I also have an Integrated Intel GMA 900 GPU Graphics Card. My wireless card, or whatever you want to call it is an 802.11b/g Atheros. I also have 512 MB RAM. Anything else you need?

EeePCs are graphically slow. You therefore have to drop the graphical settings. Use the "Low" setting in the effects menu as a starting point. Beyond this it would also be prefereable to use "r_showsurface 3" which is sometimes considered "EeePC mode" due to the slow graphics on these systems.
