Hi,

if I hit by mistake the TAB key during a game than I switch to the desktop (Nexuiz is running in full screen), which is quite normal. But if I go back to the game the brightness is much darker than my normal setting. So far the only way to solve this is to exit Nexuiz and restart it again.

Is this a bug or a feature?
Any other work arround than to exit the game?

Its something with gamma, i am at work and cant check right now. Did you try to disable HW gamma support(something like this) in options? Maybe i am wrong, but check this option also

This seems to be a bug on windows.. Are you using Nexuiz 2.1? Tthe easiest workaround for this is to type this in the console:
bind X "toggle v_hwgamma"
and to press X two times after being back in the game with bad gamma..

you can open the console with shift-escape or while playing with ` and you can close the console again with escape. Replace X with an unused key.. p should be free for most people..

I have that the other way round. I dont know exactly how i manage, but when Nexuiz isnt aborted properly, my whole windows desktop is way too bright. And nothing but reboot helps about it...

I have the same experience as Urmel. When I leave Nexuiz, my windows desktop is very bright and I have to reboot. Also, 95% of the time when I quit Nexuiz, it doesn't close smoothly. It crashes and gives an error. Dunno if that is related to the screen brightness problem in Windows.

@urmel: sometimes when closing the game I have the same that the desktop is very bright, the solution for me is to start Nexuiz again and quit it than normaly it is ok

I don't have this problem with bright desktop. Long time ago i had it with other games, my solution was(windows xp):
Right click on the desktop, click properities, settings, advanced. It depends on drivers, but with Ati i had a tab with gamma settings, then i clicked default and everything goes back to correct settings. I am writing from my head, so it don't have be the exactly same options
