And honestly if there would be people like those rednecks here that becomes upset and ready to kill, I WOULD have done the exact same thing. I just LOVE to provoke people and make them feel like complete idiots for their beliefs Not that I am against it or anything I just love busting about it You could say I am drawn to danger and provoking is one great way to do that.. God I wish I was there with them

Well, here in Germany the worst that you can do is entering the Eintracht Frankfurt fan block with a Kickers Offenbach scarf. But even then you probably wouldn't be near death... what I'd expect that would happen is that they'd pull the scarf off your neck and then burn it.

Just with a bald head ("skinhead") walking through a mostly Turkish part of the city is comparably harmless. Maybe they'd spit on you. By also wearing swastikas you MAY be able to offend them enough, but that's illegal anyway.

But making others attack you JUST by writing stuff on your car - impossible in Germany. But that may be due to how many Germans LOVE their car - kicking the car or hitting it with a knife is enough response to such writings, the offended people don't NEED to attack the driver...

I lived in Alabama for 2 years, and I visited there over the summer.

They must have found the 1 sign that had been shot, there were none when I went.

They treated the people like animals. They painted slogans on their cars that they knew would provoke the locals, and then when confronted, verbally escalated those provocations. "That's it now, you're going to kill us" There are so many different things they could have said at that point to avoid a confrontation, but I think that was the boiling point for the locals.

They sought out one of the most economically and educationally poor states, and their intention the whole time was to exploit those people on camera for entertainment value. Even that highway scene was probably taken out of context in some parts. You'll find places such as this are not common, but statistically, there must be a bad apple tree in a giant orchard.

Between Borat and Top Gear it must seem that the US is far from "The Land of the Free" as tChr calls it, but I'd take remote, isolated incidents of rural, poorly educated southerners throwing rocks at people insulting them rather than a totalitarian government.

Not as bad as Alabama or Texas, but it isn't great either.
I live in a city (Louisville) that is like an island of civilization surrounded by redneckness (except for the neighboring city of Lexington).

you got to really get used to the culture, but not all people from the US are like that in other words the north is very different from the south, just like Europe is very different from Asia. (that's probably not the best metaphor, but you get what I mean)

The vast majority of the United States is not like that.

In some areas, you'd even get thumbs up for such slogans. However, the Deep South is not such a place.

Would it be possible to incite a similar reaction by deliberately seeking out and provoking soccer hooligans in your own countries?
