Ok, for those of you who don't know, joost is a media streaming program from the people who made skype. (http://www.joost.com/)

It's in beta right now, and the only way to get it is to get invited by another beta tester.
So, invites are of high demand. Some people are even selling them on ebay.

If someone on these forums has a joost invite, we can get started. If you get invited, make sure you send your invite(s) to another person on the thread. If you got an invite, replace your post with "[recieved]". Don't nag for invites untill we get a seed invite. I'm trying to get one, so if I get it I'll start us off.

Hm, my friend told me about this Joost thing. Honestly I have no idea what it is, I took a look on that site but still don't get it (perhaps I didn't search good enough). Anyway, he is a beta tester and I bet I could get an invite if I asked, but I don't know if I wanna be a beta tester (or whatever that invite does), but I think if I asked him he might give you an invite.

iirc joost is the system for sending video content over a bit-totrrent-ish network. video streams taht is.. There has been lots of systems for this allready, but now its got a name and a marketing budget.

AI basically you try out the program. You don't even need to test for bugs. But that would be great, that way we can get people invites (including me . )

Crap, my friend says he doesn't have any invitations. How do you get does?

I think it's like the way gmail did it, you start out with 5 invites and you get more when you invite other people. Anyone else have them?

I've got invited too. I gotta tell you, I had no interest in Joost whatsoever, but after seeing it.. wow, nice thing. I like it. If morfar won't beat me to it, I'll invite some too.

New information about Joost:

• It is said that at the month shift there will be a full version for free download.
• There will be about 130 different channels to browse through when it is released.
• It's a free program for the users.
• There is another service that's similar to Joost named Babelgum, but it won't be released until at the beginning of 2008.
• The quality of graphic and sound is relatively good, but it differs from the different channels.
• It requires at least 1mbit to run without too many lags and stops (hardly any), with 8mbit it runs pretty much smooth without any trouble whatsoever.

I'd appreciate an invite please.

Invites start to seem a bit meaningless. As soon they will release a free version for everyone. (At the month shift). And I still don't have any invites on my Joost, don't know what I have to do to get some either.
