This will seem moronic, I know, but how do I post pictures on here. It keeps saying "Insert image: (alt+p)". Does that mean my pic has to posted someplace else first? Can I just send it straight from my hard drive? Clearly, I'm not getting it. Help me out.

Visit a site like http://imageshack.us/ and upload your picture there.
Then put the direct link to the image between the image tags.

Yes. You have to post it to some server first, then reffer to the image location inside the img tags

A lot of those picture-hosting-services also provide you the correct text you just need to copy/paste after uploading, so you do not need to do it by hand..

preview it first cuz it could mess it up... certain message boards interpret the BBCode differently...

thats why theres usually two versions of the code.
