  • SabayonLinux 3.3 mainly. I keep Win 2k Pro (the best Windows ever IMHO) for Windows games.

That counts as "I use a Mac".
    1. Open Notepad
    2. Paste: ÿþMSMSMS
    3. Save
    4. Open the file in Notepad again

You can vary the number of "MS", so you can clearly see it's MS which is causing it.

oh, well, there is a harddisk containing some sort of Windows2000-Crap ... but, well, it's ... aerm ... kinda fragged. Won't boot anymore - and I see no reason why to spend time fixing (reinstalling) it. But when I need the space, I will erase it and make it another mountpoint in my system. :D

  • I use Windows XP  . It works well enough for my purposes. Shut up.

I tried it on an imac at school, but it ran oddly and the mouse was abysmal.

  • Just a joke :) Vista has too much in common in general look to Mac os X. But this is slightly offtopic here, I'm not interested in os wars now, I was just curious about how much win/lin/mac users we have.

No. At its core Mac OS X uses the Mach Kernel, like its predecessor NEXTSTEP/OPENSTEP did. Its command line tools are based on FreeBSD however.

Are you joking or are you one of the few girls to ever join this forum? I'm asking 'cause I remember a topic once about this. :)

I use me old SuSE 10.0 (with updates of course) on me 80gig HDD that is always full :D. I also have Windows XP Professional SP2 but I have to reinstall it and crap. (it's there just for extreme cases and some games [Arcanum ] anyway)

I started out with Linux just to experiment with it (I was curious how it is) and ended up preffering it (actually we're quite in sweet IT love :D).

Awesomely. the drivers for my wireless and wired network cards are written by a third party, so a fresh install has no internet access, ATI's support of Solaris is worse than it's support of Linux (although AMD has a partnership with Sun). The shell doesn't know backspace, Also, they could stand to maybe stop using CDE entirely.
However, their icons and themes are very nice, and it does run nicely once you get everything set up properly.

  • I have no OS. I have translated Nexuiz into synthesizable verilog then from that I spun a Nexuz ASIC.

Next stop: A 74 series implementation with all data stored on diode rom!

Lol. I wonder Nexuiz could be compiled for me TI86 graphing calc

I play Nex on all three, linux, Mac os, and Windows, although it predominantly on Mac OS (with a third party laser mouse). Debian has been giving me tons of problems lately, so I havent used it for a while.

if nexuiz was ported to the gp2x (i'm a web developer, don't look at me...) I would be very very happy *nudge nudge*

Nexuiz on a 200MHz ARM CPU without OpenGL hardware? Sounds like _real_ fun ;)

  • Lol,
one frame per hour sounds like loads of fun. Although I'm sure Stahl's tweaking could get it up to 2-3 frames an hour

Anywho, I "game" on a highly tweaked WinXP Pro and work on Mac OSX.
I use Knoppix CD just when I have to troubleshoot something or whatnot.
