Hey together, I just made an Account and wanted to greetz the Nexuiz Community. I am new to this game (~5 Days now). Maybe some of you played me (Gamename: "Blub" or "Bundy") allready.

About myself: Before i started with Nexuiz I played a lot Quake3. I always try to get better in games I am in just because i love to win (well, i learned how to lose, but winning is just more fun for some reasons ) Currently i play Nexuiz and Poker.

As I get better in Movement and Weaponusing (there are really some nice combos possible) I just wonder about some things which i wasnt able to find within 10 minutes via search function:

1.) Enemymodel: can I force an enemy model? It is annoying to have a brown enemy on a brown dark map
2.) On which servers can I find the best players of Nexuiz to get some nice kick ass lessons? Should i start playing Nexuiz Pro?

P.S.: At the nexuiz crew: Thx for this game, i liked it from the first minutes playing which really tells alot. Even though i dont love anything about the movement (i prefer aircontrol per mouse then the strafe) it is fast and nice to play. I will for sure have some more fun with this game. Dont stop working on this game, it is really worth it!

1) Only servers can force models and skins, there is no clientside thing that does it only for you.

2) Well, I guess I am considered one of the better players, though I don't play too much I am usually on the RBI server (CTF) and in rare occasions on a DM server (the one who has most players). Usually when I don't have patience enough to wait for a slot to open on the RBI server. I suppose many good players play the CTF and Key Hunt on the RBI servers.

another answer:

nexuiz pro (stupud name choice btw) is a gamemode where the physics are more like the ones in Q3, its not for more proffesional nexuiz players, but more of pro players from other games.

If you want to meet the skilled players, use IRC and join the channel #nexuiz.ladder on quakenet, they usually hang there and most will play you 1on1 if you ask. Prepare to be seriously whipped though
