Heh, you know, that's not exactly the same as the character Nexuiz uses. They are very very alike, but the one you have posted is a bit smaller (vertically) than Nexuiz character. And your char meaning mosquito, while Nexuiz char meaning strength. They are not pronounced the same of course.

The one you posted it just a simple Katakana "ka", and the one Nexuiz has is a Kanji "chikara". The kanji for mosquito would be 蚊.

Another day and a formidable cryptix crux from the Baron Evad (aka as "Dave"). Could this possibly be the blueprint of the universe? Or as this strange icon could suggest, the dawn of apocalypse?:

Which is why I said "Resemblance" and not "Samemblance"

Hehe, without a trained eye, I don't think anyone would be able to see any difference. Even for me it's hard to make them out.

What I don't understand is why you drew on the mosquito.
