  • Hi everyone!

I would like to refer you to a gaming tournament that is jointly being prepared by Nuxified.org and Cluenet.org with the purpose of promoting Free Software gaming.

Nexuiz is certainly going to be included among games that will be played as part of it so I would like to invite everyone here to join us. It is still in the preparation stages and we'd like to do it together. You can find out more here: http://www.nuxified.org/article/nuxifie ... re_invited

Please let me know if you've got any thoughts, suggestions, ideas etc. :)

Oh and btw, I'm usually "cosmicall" in game, so if you've fragged me before, I salute you! ;)

    Cheers

  • Thank you for signing up guys. It may have been a while bit ago, but it's still on. We have set the deadline to October 1st for sign ups and votes after which we will have final preparations.

But we are already discussing various details regarding the tourney, from the immediate issue of promotion (spreading the word) to stuff like modes of playing. It's all in our gaming forum and your opinions are very much welcome: http://www.nuxified.org/forums/free_sof ... ertainment

    Thank you

  • Sounds interesting, but I don't have a good enough graphics drivers on my Linux box to participate in any gaming. Curse those guys at ATi.

Well, you could join in for Battle For Wesnoth then. It is possible that we will include that as well, if enough people state it as their preference.

    Cheers

I'm just gonna wait until they finally release enhanced drivers for ATi cards. Should be soon considering they released those specs. Fglrx just doesn't cut it.

  • With The Tux Project people onboad we will have a web shop for this gamefest with T-Shirts.

For each game played there would be a T-Shirt, so what we need is a high resolution image of the Nexuiz logo. Anyone knows where can I get that? :)

    Thanks :)

It's just the plain logo, so it needs some work for a nice t-shirt

  • That helps, thanks. :)

Since it's an SVG editing it is easy, gonna share the results when available.

  • We are ironing out the details specific to the Nexuiz (and OpenArena which is of similart type) components of this game fest. You're invited to check out and post your preferences and opinions on this thread: http://www.nuxified.org/topic/organizin ... e_gamefest

If you are signed up this is a good time to classify yourself to which modes you'd like to play and/or whether you want team based or individual.

Any further suggestions regarding the guidelines for the Nexuiz tournament are welcome too.

    Cheers
