I'm really, really mad about the censorship that people take as inevitable in the US. My school today had a Halloween decorating contest, the rules stated that there:
Could be no blood
Could be no weapons
Could be no fog machines
Could be no people in costumes
Could be no death

I was wondering if anyone is able to mod the nex pk3 to include textures over all blood and smoke particles, so I can take a picture in nex and then censor out all weapons, bodies, and people in costumes (?) to show to my friends.
I know there's a file called "particlefont" and blood is included in that, I think smoke is too.

Are we talking real people dressing up? Cause if no costumes, weapons, blood etc. on Halloween then why bother to have one? Lool!?

That's exactly my point, things begin to lose meaning, usability, purpose, and ability when you censor. I think I might submit this as a late entry to the school newspaper...

But still, could someone give me a pk3 with modded particlefont? I can't repack pk3s, I'll even supply the packer with a texture, I'll do that soon.

why can't you repack pk3's? you on a mac?

You can repack pk3s on a Mac...

but they don't work. See my "player-specific gibs" thread.

Use the command-line "zip" utility, and they certainly will work. Only Finder does weird stuff there.

But why would you need to REPACK an existing pk3? Just make an overriding pk3.
