Okay, I'm gonna be off for a while, cause my iMac hard drive broke this weekend.
This is the second time in 5 months, that I have to return my Mac to Apple. The first time was, when I got the White Screen of Death because of an error while trying to install WinXP. An iMac appears to have more of an iPod when it comes to steadiness nowadays.
This time it's a hardware issue, so all my data seems to be lost and this really pisses me off. Especially because I had my design degree portfolio on this machine.
So... We learn... a Mac doesn't "just work".
I'm switching. Again.
Since my guarantee stills holds, I'll try to get my money back and buy myself a top-notch PC with SLI graphics. For less then three-fourths of the money I spent on that machine.

So the TMI icons are delayed.

These Apple guys want another 200bucks for phone support and repairs.
And they can't take the fucking thing back, unless I pay.

I've never had a hard drive break for me, but i still back up like a maniac. The possibility of losing everything is too awful to even consider.
Harry, get super duper (it's free) and an external hard drive (it's not).

On a positive note you could always do this with your old hard drive!
