  • Anybody into this stuff?
I saw these guys live up here in Hamburg and they definitely rock.
This music is both cheesy and fun at the same time.

Though I can't understand a word (they're from Moldavia), I have their album now.

Kinda had to post this.

  • What type/style of dance did you perform and how did you feel after the gig?

  • With this kind of music it doesn't matter who you are and what style of dance you perform. I even spotted a dancing granny in the crowd. :P Pure family entertainment.
In fact, I was pretty sure, that pogo was the right way to go with the general speed. And I soon found people, who had the same idea :D
After the gig I felt like after a workout. For when you pogo, it's a sport.

  • Do you have plans to go see zdob si zdub again live, and would you consider using a pogo
    stick during the show?

In fact O.M.F.O. is on the Borat soundtrack. And in general these Balkan Beats are very similar, so it's no wonder, you're reminded of the soundtrack. I discovered this kind of music through Borat's show too. And imho it's the goddamn funniest and best music to have a great drinking party. You should also look up on Bucovina Club and Shantel, if you like this stuff.

EDIT 17.05.: Tonight I was at the Bucovina Club here in Hamburg. It was awesome, though I suspect Shantel of taking coke, since he was way too happy and was more dancing himself than DJing. :P
