Forgive me if this has already been covered before, but I'm curious if there's a way to quickly create a public server not using the dedicated server?

I've been running <2.4 and now in 2.4.2 the "create server" option is a vague representation of the old to where i can't control things like server name, default guns, ammo, etc.

If in fact this has been removed and I can't recall my saved server settings, what is the new method for doing this?

Public listen servers were always a bad idea, as they have bad performance for other players (if your fps go down, it lags for everyone).

If you really want to make a public listen server anyway, do this on the console:

hostname "This is my server"
sv_public 1
heartbeat

To recall your old config, find the .cfg file with your file manager, and do:

exec pathtotheconfig.cfg
