Why we have become the dominant race is because, and only because, of our intelligence. 300 years ago we were only 2 million humans scattered around the planet, but since 1700 up to now we have multiplied like crazy (6.8 billion). Because we create our own food, we create a safe place for our children and we have medicines that cures deceases. People died from a simple scar infection before.
But what goes that we are weak, yes we are, though I'm not saying we are the weakest species out there. It's not because of our arms and legs we have been able to form and hold stuff, it's because of the thumbs. Without thumbs it would have been hard to get to where we are now.
A wild human would be dangerous yes, but not the most dangerous out there. But that doesn't matter as there aren't many wild humans out there and there probably never will if we continue to evolve the society.
There are only two thinks human can do better than an animal, and that is thinking and flexibility. Yet again, it's not because of our arms and legs, but because we walk on two legs. If another animal walked on two legs they would eventually become as flexible as us.
But in terms of strength to other animals, we are one of the weakest ones. Ants, dogs, wolves, birds, bears, they are all stronger than us, especially their jaws. If you where to be matched up against any one of these and they were as big as you, you would have a hard time.
But of course are cats, dogs and birds weaker than us now cause they are smaller than us, so of course they don't stand much of a chance. But if you where to be teamed up against a bear as big of a difference than we are to dogs, you most certainly would be defeated as easily as dogs by humans.
However, the whole point is that, we should NOT rejoice of our humanity, if we should rejoice it's because of our ability to think logically and intelligently. But we should rejoice as much as any other species that does something better than other species. We are not special, we are just a little different, just like all the animals.
Instead of keen sense of smell, good hearing, the ability to fly or good eyesight, what we have is intelligence, which in this case turned out to be a very valuable.
