    On the other hand it would be nice to know if you succeded in downloading and playing Nexuiz :)

  • I have dial-up and unless anyone can find another way to download Nexuiz that doesn't involve waiting almost 15 hours... I'll pass up on the offer.

  • Maybe you should try one of the other mirrors. The one you choose seems to be slow.. I can download Nexuiz in around 15 Minutes. The sourceforge mirrors are all very fast, try those first.
    Or is it just that your connection is not fast enough? Well in that case i guess noone can help..

  • I think someone made a minimal nexuiz download some time ago.. adount 60 Megs or so.. nyone remember this? Maybe with a link, so out new friend here can teest the game without having to download everything?

  • hi Dark Link_Flare.

    Downloadning nexuiz on a dilupline indeed seems like a not so fun thing to do. as tChr mentioned thres a minial nexuiz floating arround somewere in cyberspace tho i cant seem to fin a link atm. another alternative would be if you have a friend with a faster connection and a cd bruner you could d/l and burn nexuiz there. gl.

  • esteel... that site you posted also takes 3hours and 49 minutes and 50 seconds to download... if I can make a suggestion, why don't you send a downloaded version to my e-mail? also, about asking friends, I don't know anyone else on nexuiz. I don't work so that isn't an option. school's out for the summer in kentucky, so that isn't an option either.

    I'm not sure this is a good idea.. you will then have to download your Mails for 3 1/2 hours :)
    But you do not have to know friends on Nexuiz.. just go over to a friend of yours that has a faster internet connection and download it there. And maybe they even like it too ;)

  • Not a solution for the moment but a something the community could do in future: set up a Nexuiz CD project and suggest Linux CD distributing companies start selling Nexuiz.

  • What I could do is burn u a CD.
    PM me your address if you want to and I'll mail it to you.
    It'll take a couple of days so DL would still be faster, but it's up to you.

    I'm in NY so it should be there in a few days.

  • How does nexuiz even work on a modem line btw? iirc with 8 players you hit a bit over 100k traffic...
