  • I always have javascript disabled as it usually kills CPU and gives me adverts.
    Do you use javascript?

  • No, I don't - JavaScript is really evil (though NoScript itself is quite evil too)

NoScript is written in JavaScript ;)

I am using Opera, scripting disabled, and enabled per-site if necessary (I bound "edit site preferences" to ctrl-s to do that).
    1. Open Notepad
    2. Paste: ÿþMSMSMS
    3. Save
    4. Open the file in Notepad again

You can vary the number of "MS", so you can clearly see it's MS which is causing it.

I know, it is fighting itself from the inside

Anyway if you want to find out just how evil NoScript is, read this http://adblockplus.org/blog/attention-noscript-users

  • I know that one. But this also proved ABP is just as evil.

  • I use the original NoScript: I disable scripting and other client side code execution:
    Java.
    Javascript.
    Flash.
Written Requests to run Executable Myself.

Why should I allow people to use up my CPU and hack my Computer?
    Why should I do that?

Maybe it's considered polite to have your computer run slow and be hacked and pwnd...
