  • have used pandora for 2 months now and i have to agree that its very good to get ideas for new bands to listen to. the range of songs/bands offered could be larger, though, but i'm sure they will stock it up :)

  • A similiar service is last.fm

    http://www.last.fm/

There's a standalone player application you can download for Windows, Mac and Linux. May be interesting for those who tend to close browser tabs without thought ;)

Not necessary ;) I think you all use only LEGAL software, so similar little lie won't hurt anyone.

Registration is needed, and it's avaible for only Americans. But again, who cares? Just give a random 5 digit number, almost every single one is a valid US zip code. I think mine's is from somewhere in Miami :D

Oh, and bored with the SOO MUCH ADS (can't say there are so many on the site)?

Be sure to check out the SOURCE CODE ;) ! And pretty please use your systems copy/paste function. So you pandora can look lik this:

    Happy listening! ;)

I don't need a standalone player application to use it 8)
In my case it's just the "Audioscrobbler"-plugin for winamp that sends the music information of the music that you're listening to to last.fm.
Audiscrobbler has been the "prequel" of last.fm.

But as i'm listening to a shitload of crappy music as well the recommendations of last.fm don't work very good for me  i prefer pandora.

  • Can't be arsed trying to understand all of this but I'm pretty sure amaroK has tools for last.fm, audioscrobbler and some other things you guys were talking about.
